Environmental
Our commitment to a sustainable future.
Environmental policy
In recent years, the increasing global sensitivity to environmental issues has led us to define a new company policy, published on 2024-10-14, aimed at defining strategies, values, and objectives in relation to social and environmental issues.
Our actions
- Optimal waste management through the separate collection of scraps and waste for appropriate recovery/recycling.
- Monitoring and evaluation of environmental aspects significant to the company and adoption of the necessary measures to reduce impacts.
- Definition of written procedures for the evaluation and selection of suppliers/sub-contractors, taking into consideration their performance and commitment to meeting the requirements of all reference standards of the integrated management system.
Responsible management of raw materials: compliance and qualification of suppliers
The procurement of raw materials takes place in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and the management system implemented in accordance with quality, environmental, and occupational safety standards. The procurement process is carried out through a preliminary assessment for the appropriate qualification of suppliers who respect the objectives set in the company policy, with particular attention to the possible environmental impacts resulting from the choice.
Steel
Steel is considered one of the most ecological materials in the world, despite the fact that extracting and processing it requires energy-intensive processes. A product made of this alloy, if treated properly, can last for years without requiring maintenance, and at the end of its life cycle, it can be fully recycled infinitely many times, retaining all its technical and mechanical characteristics.
Aluminum
Aluminum is inherently an extremely versatile material that can be recycled infinitely without affecting its main characteristics, namely lightness, shine, and resistance. Aluminum profiles are entirely recyclable at the end of their life cycle, and procurement takes place in compliance with legislative and regulatory constraints, including the REACH regulation. Solar energy is harnessed thanks to the correct positioning of panels and the motorized roof that can be tilted towards maximum solar exposure. These types of structures allow for the creation of a green outdoor space.
Wood
In the procurement of wood, Sprech srl is moving towards a more sustainable economy; in fact, it is starting to prefer suppliers who hold FSC certification.
Textile membrane
Most of the structures that Sprech produces use a textile membrane as a covering. In the last year, Sprech has begun to approach suppliers who produce types of textile membranes derived from acrylic fabric waste from the processing of awnings. The goal is to increasingly prefer suppliers who guarantee a sustainable production process.
Social
Gender Equality and UNI 125:2022 certification at Sprech: from words to deeds.
The value of people in corporate evolution.
Inclusion and equal opportunities
Sprech believes in an inclusive work environment, where skills, talent, and commitment matter more than any difference. We promote gender equality in every area of the company, from production to offices, with the aim of guaranteeing concrete growth opportunities for everyone.
- valuing female talent;
- guaranteeing equity in career paths;
- promoting a respectful and inclusive work environment;
- fostering the balance between professional and personal life;
- guaranteeing the well-being of people through welfare policies for sustainable growth.
Sprech is committed to creating inclusive workplaces based on equal opportunities without distinction of gender, religion, origin, nationality, sexual orientation, or social status, reaching an important milestone with the UNI 125:2022 Certification. This recognition testifies to our daily commitment to promoting equity and valuing diversity, ensuring equal opportunities and full transparency.
Social commitment and enhancement of the territory
We are particularly sensitive to social issues; it is no coincidence that our commitment to the well-being of the community is constant. We help cultural/sports associations, schools, universities, research laboratories, cooperatives, and parishes. Our sensitivity to these issues allows us to be an important reference point in our territory.
In 2025, Sprech has 173 people, with a percentage of women in managerial roles equal to 50%.
The necessary Project.
Agorà Design 2025
For the 2025 edition of the Agorà Design Festival, Sprech promoted and supported a new section of the festival dedicated to children: Agorà Design Kids, with the aim of strengthening the bond with the territory and transmitting the culture of design to new generations as a tool for growth, participation, and awareness. The exhibition is the final result of a workshop path, started in February 2025, which involved boys and girls from the fourth-grade classes (a.y. 2024/2025) of the Comprehensive Institute of Martano, Carpignano Salentino, and Serrano. The project began in the classrooms with a lesson on design conducted by architects Salvatore Rescio and Stefania Galante.
